Well after a lot of speculation and anxiety, fans around the world rejoiced today as Canada's Alexisonfire announced they are back in business (...at least in a temporary touring capacity).
The mysterious date posted online of '03/09/15' was announcing that the band has reunited for a run of shows, with their "classic" lineup of vocalist, George Pettit guitarist/singer Dallas Green (City And Colour), bassist Chris Steele, drummer Jordan Hastings, and guitarist Wade MacNeil (Gallows).
The reformed post-hardcore quintet have announced a few international festival dates (much like how Refused and From Autumn To Ashes did) yet nothing regarding an Australian tour or festival appearance, however that could easily change soon.
Furthermore, no new music or the initially suspected live release have been announced yet and it's unclear if this will be a permanent reunion or just a one-off. But in the meantime, go get nostalgic below with 'Boiled Frogs'.
