Alberts Signs Russell Morris In Worldwide Deal

A man with a 50-year career behind him, acclaimed Australian singer/songwriter Russell Morris has just penned a worldwide publishing agreement with Alberts.

The ARIA-winning singer has already been inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame and has had five Top 10 singles in the late '60s and early '70s, with this publishing agreement covering all of Morris's compositions.

Since 2011, Morris has delved into the arena of blues and roots, having released the third in a trilogy just this month — Red Dirt — Red Heart. Our reviewer thought, "The album's themes make for a worthy close to his trilogy, and deal with Australian history in a unique way, examining Indigenous culture in the face of perverse whiteness."
