Warrnambool Aussie rock outfit Airbourne are proving that there's life in their old dog yet, with their new album Black Dog Barking topping iTunes Rock Charts around the globe.

The band – who are marking their tenth anniversary this year – released their third album last week and the international pick-up has been outstanding.

Today the album is number one on the iTunes rock chart in the UK, France, Germany, Canada (it's ten in the overall charts here) and Switzerland. Yesterday it was number one in Sweden (now three) and New Zealand as well.

It is currently number two in the US, two in Spain, five in Austria, six in Norway and nine in Australia.

Managed by Wonderlick Entertainment, manager Gregg Donovan has often claimed that the band is the roster's most financially successful outfit globally. Wonderlick also manages Grinspoon, Josh Pyke and Boy & Bear, amongst others.

The album is still expected to chart well next week, with midweek figures indicating it has a shot at a top ten debut.
