Ainslie WillsBest described as retro-infused progressive pop, Contellations is the new single lifted off the forthcoming EP, Oh The Gold, due 14 Sep, from Ainslie Wills.
The Melbourne artist first broke through in a big way in 2013 when her album, You Go Your Way, I'll Go MIne, was nominated for both the AMP and Melbourne Music Prize. Contellations is, once again, a collaboration with guitarist and co-writer Lawrence Folvig, and the pair recorded it with Brisbane-based producer Matt Redlich (Holy Holy, Emma Louise, Trouble with Templeton), whom she met after a show she did at Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge in 2013.
Recorded at Redlich's studio - Grandma's Place - in Brisbane, Wills is launching Constellations with her five-piece band in the three capital city shows up the east coast in Oct. For details, go to theGuide.
