The term ‘bone-crushing’ does no justice to the second EP from Sydney-based mosh-metal outfit Aftermath. Their Legacy, Your Burden features six tracks bound to blow your speakers and have you kick holes through your walls with its unique and brutal take on modern metalcore. Since forming in 2010, the band have earned their place amongst some of the country’s best by playing relentlessly along the East Coast of Australia, supporting hardcore heavyweights such as Parkway Drive, The Red Shore, Deez Nuts and The Amity Affliction. It’s not often a band will have corporate sponsorships knocking at the door before dropping a full-length, but Aftermath have proven the exception,securing sponsorship deals with Monster Energy, and Australia’s biggest skate shop, Decked Out on the back of promising early recordings and a brutal live presence. After reluctantly taking a break from touring, Aftermath bunkered down to record Their Legacy, Your Burden with local legend Shane Edwards at Electric Sun Studios in April 2012. Mixed and mastered at Melbourne’s Crystal Studios, the record features guest vocals by Harry Stephens of Bridges and Dave Naylor of Shinto Katana, and is finally set to be released to the masses on July 6.

Aftermath will be celebrating the long-awaited release of Their Legacy, Your Burden with a special hometown EP Launch at the Burdekin Hotel in Sydney on July 13. Stay tuned for more tour announcements as the band make plans to take the chaos national.
