American rock stalwarts AFI have confirmed they'll be playing two Soundwave Festival sideshows, alongside Deftones' Chino Moreno's side project Crosses.

The two bands will hit up Sydney's Factory Theatre and the Prince Of Wales in Melbourne while they're out here for the festival - tickets to these gigs go on sale next Monday 3 February at 9am. You can get all the details in theGuide below.

This will be the first time AFI have ventured down under in four years, on the back of their 2013 LP Burials - their ninth album to date.

Moreno is currently out here with Deftones for the Big Day Out tour, which finishes up this weekend in Perth and Adelaide.
