The band broke the news over Facebook last night

More Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! More Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!

Stalwart South Australian indie pioneers Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! have broken several months' silence to officially inform their fans that they are no longer continuing as a band.

In a post made to Facebook last night, the band acknowledged the confirmation could possibly be a little redundant given their extended silence, but nonetheless took the opportunity to thank those who have supported them over their time together and express that the split was an amicable one.

"This is probably a bit redundant considering how long we've been silent but its worth saying; we're not a band anymore," they wrote in the post.

"We're all still buds, but decided we'd prefer to pursue our own projects instead of continuing in F!SR,F!

"Big thanks to our manager Zac Abroms, to our good buddy Luke Morton, to the people who put our stuff out Dot Dash/Remote Control and most importantly to our family, friends and all those that came to our shows and listened to our music.

"Tune in here for news on our other projects, and thanks again!"

Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! formed in 2006, garnering themselves a quick reputation for their considered, technical brand of ethereal pop and their polished live performances. They went on to release a handful of EPs and one full-length album, Sea Priest (2010), before becoming increasingly quiet in the back half of last year and early 2014. They'll be missed, but we're certainly excited for the prospects of their individual futures.

To wave them off in style, have a listen to their last single, 2012's Codebreaker, below.
