The New Year’s favourite, Wildlands Festival, is returning for 2025/2026 but delivers some sad news for punters: the Adelaide leg of the travelling EDM, hip-hop and indie-focused festival will take a year off this year.
For its 2022/2023 event, Wildlands expanded from Brisbane to include Adelaide and Perth in its festivities. In a statement, festival organisers acknowledged the strong three years held in South Australia, but cited a changing landscape as to why this year’s event won’t be going ahead.
Wildlands will still go ahead in Brisbane and Perth, and organisers also encourage punters to attend sister festival Beyond The Valley’s tenth anniversary celebrations this year.
Early access for Wildlands Brisbane and Perth and Beyond The Valley—held in Victoria—will be available for supporters ahead of the general sale. You can sign up for updates on the Wildlands festival website.
Wildlands organisers said:
To our Wildlands Adelaide family,
We have made the difficult decision that Wildlands Adelaide will be taking a break this year.
This isn’t a call we wanted to make, especially after three strong years in South Australia, but the landscape has shifted, and the viability of delivering the event at the standard we hold ourselves to simply isn’t possible this season.
We’re excited for our strongest shows yet in Brisbane and Perth this year.
We remain proud of what Wildlands has brought to Adelaide over the years. It’s a city that’s too often overlooked when it comes to large-scale music events, and it meant a lot to us to deliver something ambitious and deserving of our fans. Thank you for showing up and backing it, we are forever grateful and we hope to return to Adelaide in the future.
Until then, we’d love to see you in Brisbane, Perth or at our sister festival Beyond The Valley, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. To thank you for your support, we’re offering early access to tickets for all three events, before they go on sale to the general public.
More soon,
Wildlands
