Promoter AJ Maddah is urging fans to take a stand
Promoter AJ Maddah has taken to Twitter with reports the Adelaide City Council is “trying to get rid” of Soundwave 2015 in the state.
Set to go down Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February, the Adelaide leg of the tour has been at Bonython Park since 2008, but the council won’t permit a temporary event lease to the festival until it has gathered feedback from members of the community.
“For the first time [Soundwave] has applied to hold the festival over two days in February,” the ACC website says.
“Before we can grant a temporary event lease over the Park Lands, we are required to consult with you to gather your feedback on the lease proposal."

This isn’t the first time Soundwave has had run ins with the council, with the festival earlier this year forfeiting their $10,000 bond due to a breach of noise levels, and being forced to adhere to strict noise levels at next year's event.
Maddah has urged punters to provide feedback to the ACC via a form on their website to save his “fav SW”. Non-Adelaide punters have also been encouraged to get involved.
“Please make sure that you state your Adelaide address. If you travel to Adel SW from out of town please state that clearly,” Maddah also tweeted.
The ACC is accepting feedback until 15 August.
