The Flying Squad's latest track boasts a classic sound and a raw narrative quality.

The latest in a run of successful singles for purveyors of timeless sound The Flying Squad graced all streaming platforms yesterday, on November 7th.
The instant classic Rinse, Wash, Repeat exists in the same realm as a Paul Kelly song, with its anthemic melody couched in layered harmonies and abiding guitar riffs. Chief songwriter Tris Beaumont’s soothing voice is distinctly, refreshingly Australian. It boasts an upbeat tempo but a somber narrative - one is instantly reminded of that all-time classic of Australian music To Her Door.
Rinse, Wash, Repeat reflects on what it means to come of age as a man, to reject and then find your way back to sensitivity, grounding itself with the hook “my heart was thrown away.” The song examines what it means to become a better version of yourself after trial and error.
The track was created in collaboration with producer and engineer Ryan Martin John, and was recorded and mixed at Cactus Cactus Sound Studio. The sound of the song continues on in the Flying Squad tradition of blending the timeless textures of country, blues, and rockabilly.
Having released five singles this year alone, The Flying Squad has established itself as an act to watch out for.
