Adalita Brings 10-Year Old Demo To Life On New Record

First look at the recording of Too Far Gone

More Adalita Adalita

With Adalita's new solo record All Day Venus set to be released later this month, she's given us another insight into one of the tracks.

Too Far Gone is a ten-year-old demo that she dug up for the recording sessions and managed to arrange a brooding atmosphere around.

She's given theMusic.com.au the first look into the recording of that track, watch her flesh out the lead guitar line below.

"Too Far Gone was a really old demo that I'd had lying around since the early 2000's,” she says. “I'd always really liked it so I brought it out of the woodwork and got Hugo Cran [ex-The Devastations] to drum on it and he brought the rock swing and that kind of moody, heavy country vibe to it that I wanted.

“And the lead break that I do here was just meant as a rough guide for Hugo to jam along too and I hadn't learnt it or attempted before so I just sat down on the day we were recording the drums, found the basic notes and just very loosely and in a joking way did a big, long, balls out lead break. It ended up being what we used on the final cut.”
