Actors Named For Michael Hutchence/INXS Mini-Series

The actors set to play the members of INXS in an upcoming mini-series have been announced, following Luke Arnold's casting as Michael Hutchence earlier this year.

Reported by News Limited, former Packed To The Rafters actor Hugh Sheridan will play bassist Garr Gary Beers, Kirk Pengilly by Underground: The Julian Assange Story actor Alex Williams, guitarist Tim Farriss by Nicholas Masters, drummer Jon Farriss by Offspring's Ido Drent and keyboardist Andrew Farriss by Andy Ryan. Love My Way actor Damon Herriman will play manager Chris Murphy. Actors for Hutchence's girlfriend Kylie Minogue, Bono and Paula Yates are yet to be confirmed.

Tim Farriss (the real one) has been consulting on the production, which is being filmed in Melbourne, and told the paper, “I've been spending a lot of time with the cast and I'm amazed – at times I actually thought Michael was there. It has been all forms of emotion for me (but) I'm very excited.”

The mini-series will look to tell the 'untold story' of Hutchence's final years. Never Tear Us Apart: The INXS Story is being produced for Channel 7 and is expected to be cut into two two-hour episodes.
