AC/DC sold more than 320,000 tickets in multiple cities in a single day as tickets for their highly anticipated 2025 Australian tour went on sale last week (26 June).

Per a press release, Ticketek experienced a record-breaking day of ticket sales last week, driven by extraordinary demand for the rockers’ upcoming tour.

Ticketek hosts the ticket sales for the band’s shows at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which holds 100,000 punters, Sydney’s Accor Stadium (83,500-capacity), Perth’s Optus Stadium (61,266-capacity), and Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium (52,500-capacity). AC/DC will perform two shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane to meet demand.

Meanwhile, Ticketmaster hosts the ticket sale of AC/DC’s headlining of the bp Adelaide Grand Final supercars event, which draws 250,000 punters. Lenny Kravitz and Jet are also confirmed to perform over the four-day event.

Ticketek notes that with Lightscape, the NRL, AFL, and theatre productions, around 50,000 tickets were sold, bringing their total for the day to over 370,000.

Ticketek set a new all-time high for daily sales, surpassing the previous record set by The Ashes’ on-sale earlier this year, while the 320,000+ AC/DC tickets mark the biggest concert on-sale day of Ticketek’s 40-year history. Additionally, AC/DC surpassed their previous 2009 record.

For their 2025 Australian tour, AC/DC will be joined by special guests Amyl And The Sniffers. The Highway To Hell rockers return to Australia for the first time in a decade, performing in the above-mentioned stadium venues this November and December.
