Having walked the long road of recovery after a dangerous seizure in 2013, ARIA- and AMP-nominee Abbe May is back and proudly harnessing her inner bitch. Today she drops her first single, Are We Flirting?, from her upcoming record, Bitchcraft, with four national dates this July to celebrate.

May explains her seizure took two years and a major lifestyle change to get through. "I spent 2 years recovering by clearing everything out of my life that wasn’t working for me. I got rid of people, habits, attitudes and parts of my lifestyle that made me stressed or anxious or depressed.

"At one point I wanted to die because I was in so much agony. I was lucky I had the support and will to get well again because now I feel supercharged. I'm actually so grateful the whole horror happened. I had to access my inner bitch in order to cut myself loose. That’s why the new album is called Bitchcraft. It would never exist if I hadn’t channeled the bitch."

May will be flirting with fans at her four-date tour which kicks off on 1 July at Sydney's Newtown Social, before heading to Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge on 2 July, Melbourne's Northcote Social on 8 July and Fremantle's Mojo's Bar on 15 July.
