The 2020 AACTA Awards go ahead this month.
Helen Reddy biopic I Am Woman has picked up a number of nominations for this year's AACTA Awards.
The film, based on the Australian music legend who passed away in September, is up for seven categories including Best Film, Best Lead Actress (Tilda Cobham-Hervey), Best Original Score, Best Editing, Best Sound, Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.

Meanwhile former Recovery presenter Leigh Whannell has picked up eight nominations with his February-released psychological horror film The Invisible Man including Best Film and Best Direction.
True History Of The Kelly Gang - which features New Zealand artist Marlon Williams and a cheeky cameo by Cosmic Psychos' frontman Ross Knight - has picked up ten nominations including Russell Crowe for Best Supporting Actor.

On the TV front, Tim Minchin-led Foxtel series Upright has been nominated for Best Comedy Series and Best Comedy Performer (for both Minchin and fellow lead actress Milly Alcock).
Local comics Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola are up again for Best Comedy Performer for Rosehaven, which is also in the running for Best Comedy Series, as is Matt Okine's Stan comedy, The Other Guy.
