Does it hold up?
A classic '70s track by Paul McCartney and his, post-The Beatles outfit, Wings is now a club hit thanks to a newly-released remix from German producer Timo Maas.
The song that has been contemporised is Nineteen Hundred And Eighty-Five — the closing track on Wings' 1973 album Band On The Run and Maas has teamed up with Canadian DJ James Teej for the electro-infused remix.
An anonymous bootleg of the remix blew up last year after it was released as a (vinyl) white label and according to BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac, copies of that mysterious record have been selling on eBay for up to £280 pounds (over $AUS570).
It has just been revealed that the project was sanctioned by McCartney and that Maas was the producer behind the remix.
