50 Cent was arrested in St Kitts in the Caribbean over the weekend for dropping the f-bomb during his show.

According to Fox News, the US rapper was warned prior to his set on Saturday night not to swear on stage as, under the country's Small Charges Act, it is an offense to use "profane words in a public place".

50 Cent said the word "motherfucker" a number of times during his performance in front of 40,000 people which resulted in his arrest at the conclusion of the show.

A representative said in a statement that 50 Cent was initially only booked to host the St Kitts Music Festival and only performed after being requested to do so by event organisers. 

The 40-year-old hip hop artist reportedly paid a fine and was on his way back to the US by Sunday.

The news comes just a week after he lost his temper during a performance in Atlanta after his set was cut short.
