2charmSam Netterfield and Tim Nelson – musicians in 2charm and Cub Sport – are entering the fashion game, today announcing the launch of their new apparel brand, AusBoyfrnd.
The luxury brand launches in Melbourne following a preview of the inaugural collection at Hutton House in Collingwood tonight, with industry, media, fellow creatives, and others in attendance.
With the collection, the duo have showcased “collegiate, locker room-inspired” clothes with an alternative edge, ready to wear. Blending classic styles with contemporary finesse, AusBoyfrnd offers polo tees, boxer shorts, pleated mini-skirts, hoodies, and more.
Each item is tailored to showcase classic designs, modern elegance, and a carefree attitude.
“AusBoyfrnd is a fresh look, and it’s hot on everybody,” Netterfield and Nelson quipped in a statement.
They continued, “We made AusBoyfrnd to round out our own wardrobes, and we’re proud of our quality collection that is entirely unisex. These are clean classics made sexy and bad.”
The collection is already gathering attention, with BRAND NEW CHANEL$ hitmaker Slayyyter donning AusBoyfrnd attire on her recent Australian tour.
The AusBoyfrnd website is now live; take a peek at the collection below and buy some new ‘fits here.
2charm’s debut single, boyfriend, arrived last September, with the mysterious pair quickly developing an aesthetic that has become intrinsically linked to their music.
Their Instagram bio describes their music as “techno sleaze g00ner pop.” In a recent interview with The Music, they were asked what on earth “gooner pop” is.
“I think it’s pop music with a horny edge,” the pair told The Music, albeit cautiously – perhaps a little unsure of how exactly it can be succinctly described. “And it’s like a blend of fun, beauty, and horniness all in one.”
In a follow-up response, 2charm shared, “Goonerpop is post-hyperpop, dopamine maxing, big edges to big explosive drops.”
Meanwhile, Cub Sport have become known for their rousing, euphoric brand of indie music, with Platinum and Gold-certified singles such as Come On Mess Me Up, Chasin’ and Sometimes to their name.
Having released an ARIA #1 album (2023’s Jesus At The Gay Bar) and an ARIA #2 Album (2020’s LIKE NIRVANA), Cub Sport have cemented themselves as one of Australia’s most significant pop exports. The band didn’t just top the charts in 2023—singer Tim Nelson received his first GRAMMY nomination for contributions to Baynk’s Adolescence.
In October and November, the band will open the shows on 5 Seconds Of Summer’s tour of Australia and New Zealand.
