Rembrandts and 1927 Next In ‘90s Parade

Yes, that band who did the song from Friends!

In celebration of 22 years since 1927 released …ISH, a record still considered by many to be one of the great Australian debut albums of all time. Seeing as the band has become a bit more of an ongoing concern in recent years they have decided this is a milestone worth celebrating (we'd like to think the real big celebration will come in their 27th year, but we'll have to wait and see) and they're bringing some friends from overseas to help them celebrate.

The Rembrandts will forever be known as the band who wrote and performed I'll Be There For You, the theme song from Friends, and why not? It's catchy as hell and, without being rude, we imagine it has earned them a pretty penny over the past 15 years or so. They have a whole heap of other songs too, you know, and they'll be out here playing a fine selection of them in support of the aforementioned Aussies.

Catch these two '90s wonders at the following shows:

Friday 24 August – The Palms at Crown Melbourne
Saturday 25 August – Waves, Wollongong
Friday 31 August – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Saturday 1 September – The Tivoli, Brisbane
