Today, UNIFIED Music Group has announced the highly anticipated return of the UNIFIED Grant, which comes back in 2024 with $5,000 to go to five independent creative projects.
Applications for this year’s UNIFIED Grant open at 8 am today and close at 5 pm AEST on Tuesday, 22 October. The initiative is open for anyone independently running a creative business that serves its local music industry, whether it offers services to help artists boost their careers or develop new technology.
The Grant, now in its fifth instalment, has gifted $125,000 to creatives, innovative individuals, and entrepreneurs.
The funds are presented by the UNIFIED Impact Committee, which assesses successful applicants and their projects against the Impact Priorities of Environment, First Nations, Education and Pathways, Health and Well-Being, and Community Engagement.
CEO of UNIFIED Music Group and Founder of the UNIFIED Grant, Jaddan Comerford, said of the 2024 Grant:
It’s always inspiring and humbling to receive so many worthy submissions for The UNIFIED Grant each year. Our independent music community and those who operate within it have such brilliant, bubbling ideas for making it even better, and I’m so pleased UNIFIED Music Group and its Impact Committee is in a position to help these ideas become a reality.
I really encourage anyone out there who has been working on an idea, trying to grow a business, or seeking support to bring a dream into reality in the independent music community to apply for the Grant. We’ve seen the impact it can have on ideas, people, businesses, creativity and community, and would love to have you be a part of it.
