UNIFIED Artist Management has just added two new faces to its management team and expanded its music roster, with four new names added.

Maddy Smith and David Zietsman have been appointed to the UNIFIED Artist Management team as the company focuses on building sustainable, global, and artist-led careers.

Recent success stories include the continued international achievements of Wade Forster, Vance Joy, Ocean Alley, and Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers. The acts are also flourishing at home, securing eight spots on last week’s triple j Hottest 100.

With more than a decade of experience in artist and label management and touring under her belt, Maddy Smith joins UNIFIED. Having worked with Keli Holiday, Genesis Owusu, Golden Features, and DICE, Smith brings extensive expertise to the UAM team.

Meanwhile, Zietsman has experience in artist management, A&R, bookings, development, and touring. He’ll work at both UAM and the company’s distribution platform, Community Music. Zietsman has previously held roles at Plus Bits Agency and Teamwrk Music Group. His dual role at UAM reflects the unique approach UNIFIED Music Group brings to its artists.

In addition to expanding its management team, UNIFIED Artist Management has secured a bunch of new artists to its roster: rising pop duo Cat & Calmell, techno artist Ben Gerrans, producer and DJ Sixten, and fellow DJ Benjamin.

In a statement, UAM General Manager, Ash Hills, said of today’s announcements, “I’m thrilled to welcome Maddy and David to the team; both are joining with a wealth of experience and are achieving incredible results for their artists.

“They are managing some of the country’s most exciting emerging artists, all who are gearing up for a huge year ahead. Cat & Calmell continue to share their ‘Live Laugh Cool Star’ EP with global audiences and are supporting Renee Rapp, and Ben Gerrans is backing up his ‘Primrose’ EP with new releases and shows all over the world.”

The moves follow recent projects undertaken by the UNIFIED team. In September, the company launched Ground Floor, a new accelerator program powered by the Community Music ecosystem and focused on empowering independent Australian artists who are “ready to take the next step in their careers.”

Ground Floor seeks to provide six months of hands-on support, mentorship and release guidance for rising acts. With several Community Music team members offering vital skills through educational workshops, the goal is to make these emerging names release-ready, and a live performance opportunity is also available.

UNIFIED Music Group’s Founder and CEO Jaddan Comerford explained that the company hopes to find and nurture “the next Ocean Alley and the next Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers.”
