The thirteenth edition of the All About Women Festival returns in March this year, stacked with a lineup of more than 50 international and Australian artists, thinkers and storytellers who will speak to inclusive ideas around gender, justice and equality. Held every year during the week of International Women’s Day, the festival aims to continue its legacy of holding space for inspiring moments and thought-provoking conversations to blossom.

Individual events will be held at City Recital Hall and the Sydney Opera House on Wednesday the 5th and Saturday the 8th of March, with a bumper program held on Sunday the 9th. If you’re unable to attend in person, a digital pass will grant you access to the program via livestream.

All About Women will not only feature its signature panels and conversations this year but also showcase stand-up comedy performances and friendship commitment ceremonies, with the overall program curated by the loving hands of the Sydney Opera House Talks & Ideas team led by Chip Rolley alongside co-curators of individual sessions, Whadjuk Noongar journalist and 10 News First Presenter Narelda Jacobs OAM and award-winning actor and writer Michelle Law.

As expected from the festival, the bill is exploding with some incredible names this year, including Silicon Valley’s “most feared” and “well liked” US-based journalist and podcaster Kara Swisher, Māori actress and director Rachel House, former Australian of the Year and activist Grace Tame, musician and activist for sexual assault survivors Jaguar Jonze, Bundjalung Widubul-Wiabul woman and human rights lawyer Vanessa Turnbull-Roberts and so many more.

In previous years, All About Women has invited Yellowface author Rebecca F Kuang, Malyangapa and Barkindji woman and rapper Barkaa, riot grrrl pioneers Bikini Kill and former Nickelodeon actress and I’m Glad My Mom Died author Jenette McCurdy to the Sydney Opera House to share their personal experiences with gender, justice and equality.
