Ticketek Entertainment Group (TEG) has announced its renewed leadership line-up across its promoter and technology divisions, with CEO Cameron Hoy unveiling a strategic reset. The changes also include the departure of standing Managing Director Tim McGregor.
Today, the company has revealed its fresh leadership line-up to support its sharpened touring focus across the Asia-Pacific region. Paul Dainty AO has been named the company’s President of Touring and Theatrical, along with his role as CEO of TEG Dainty.
Meanwhile, Mark Dodds takes on the new role of Managing Director of TEG Live and Handsome Tours. By assuming leadership of the team at TEG Live and continuing to lead Handsome Tours, he’ll be across upcoming tours including System of a Down, ICEHOUSE, and Niall Horan, to name a few.
As part of the company changes, Tim McGregor is departing TEG and handing the leadership reins to Mark Dodds over the coming weeks.
“I want to thank Tim for his enormous contribution over his 20-year journey with us,” Cameron Hoy said. He continued, “Having worked alongside him for the past 10 years, I have immense appreciation and respect for him and all he has achieved.
“He leaves a lasting legacy, having developed a promoter division with capabilities unmatched across the region, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter.”
Plus, the touring company announced that Laneway Festival and Laneway Presents founders, Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio, will continue with TEG, with the line-up for the 2027 edition of Laneway reportedly arriving imminently.
“The new structure announced today with Paul, Mark, Danny and Jerome builds on that proven track record,” Hoy added. “By uniting their expertise and having Mark step up to lead TEG Live alongside Handsome, we are raising the bar for live entertainment across the region.”
Additionally, TEG has appointed John Ranieri as Chief Information Officer across the company. With over two decades of digital and technology leadership, including at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and TOWER Group NZ, he brings significant experience in digital business transformation, data management, and more to the concert promoters.
Hoy explained, “TEG has a long and proud history of delivering market-firsts that transform the live experience. Whether it was pioneering digital ticketing, building the first fair and ethical resale marketplace, or advancing accessible ticketing, we have always led from the front.
“John’s appointment ensures we maintain that relentless pace of innovation, deploying cutting-edge technology that elevates the experience for our partners, venues, and millions of fans across the region.”
Discussing the changes more broadly, Hoy added, “At its core, live entertainment thrives on the power of human connection. Our vision is to make the world a better place through that connection - uniting fans with the artists and events they love on a scale unlike anything else in the region.
“This new chapter is about elevating the live experience from initial discovery right through to the final encore, ensuring every event we deliver is unforgettable.”
