BACKGROUND CHECK:

Having launched his career in the worlds of hospitality and entertainment as the Director and Co-Founder of the Love That Group, a stint as the Director and Promoter for St Kilda's PRINCE club (and history as a DJ in his own right) gave way to a role as Managing Director of Intergalactic Fantastic Worldwide

Serving as an artist manager and boasting clients such as Torren Foot, Anna Lunoe, and Airwolf Paradise, it's Dom Dolla that serves as the main headline for Fava's professional focuses – not only operating as the electronic icon’s manager but being responsible for urging him to take on the music world full-time.

After Dolla’s success, Fava joined international management company Three Six Zero as a partner in 2024.

THE YEAR IN AUSTRALIAN MUSIC:

For some time now, each year has wrapped with music lovers and the general public being amazed at just what Dom Dolla has achieved in the preceding 12 months. For 2025, it’s arguably the biggest year of the producer’s career, and Fava has been at the forefront of it all.

Dolla’s (and by extension, Fava’s) achievements are almost too many to list. Beginning the year in contention for a Grammy for his remix of GorillazNew Gold, he’s sold out shows across the US, the UK, Europe, and Australia, performing at the likes of Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza Chicago, Bonnaroo in Tennessee, Reading & Leeds Festival, and Creamfields UK, and playing huge shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden and London’s Alexandra Palace, Dom Dolla will wrap the year with his first-ever stadium show in Australia.

Adding in selling more than 170,000 tickets to last year’s Australian homecoming tour, Dom Dolla has amassed over 1.5 billion streams, and most recently took out the inaugural Global Impact Award at the ARIA Awards. Needless to say, Dom Dolla’s rise (and Fava’s managerial guidance – which was punctuated by the Breakthrough Manager of the Year at the Association of Artist Managers Awards) will likely be studied by future entrepreneurs.

THE MUSIC SPEAKS:

Throughout the process of putting together this Power 50 list, we’ve reached out to industry colleagues to ask who we’re missing or who should be on our radar who may not have been on previous lists. Without doubt, the name that came out of more mouths than any other was James Fava.

Not simply about the awards or the festival slots, what is continually raised in conversations about Fava is his style and approach, making smart choices for post-COVID artist management. Fava isn’t managing an “Australian artist,” he’s managing a global artist who happens to be from Australia.
