One Of One Reveals 2026 Events And Awards

Following years as a national initiative, One of One will hold events only in Melbourne and Sydney in 2026, both taking place next month.

One of One, the charity organisation that celebrates and supports women and gender non-conforming (GNC) people working across the music industry, has shared the first details about this year’s events.

Following years as a national initiative – last year stopping in Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide for its tenth anniversary – One of One will hold events only in Melbourne and Sydney in 2026, both taking place next month.

“The reality of 2026 for many businesses in the music industry is that budgets are tight,” the One of One team revealed in a statement. “And not everyone has the capacity to support charities right now. We completely understand, and we are incredibly grateful to every organisation that has supported One of One over the last ten years.”

The statement continued, “To Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth and Darwin — you are so important to us. We can’t wait to return to your states and territories when we can.”

Tickets for the forthcoming Sydney and Melbourne events will be available soon. More information on the locations, special guest speakers, performers, and more will be announced shortly.

While One of One will host fewer events this year, its core purpose of uplifting, encouraging, and inspiring women and GNC people within the music industry hasn’t changed.

In 2026, the organisation’s annual breakfast events will return, featuring keynote speakers, live performances, networking opportunities, and special guests to be announced. Previous events have hosted moving performances and keynotes from stars including Jen Cloher, Becca Hatch, Eliza Hull, Stella Donnelly, Deborah Cheetham AO, Emma Donovan, and others.

At this year’s events, One of One will continue its industry awards and development opportunities, in collaboration with UNIFIED Music Group, White Sky and Mushroom Music.

“These awards are about real outcomes, not just recognition,” the One of One team explained. “Each opportunity has been carefully designed with our partners to create sustainable impact for women and GNC people working in music, now and into the future.”

The Awards and Scholarships to be awarded at this year’s events are:

ONE OF ONE x UNIFIED GROUND FLOOR ACCELERATOR

The winning unsigned Australian artist will be selected to join a six-month accelerator program which offers strategic guidance, financial literacy training, workshops, live performance opportunities and hands-on release support. Applications are now open.

ONE OF ONE x WHITE SKY ENTREPRENEURS AWARD

This business acceleration package supports emerging female and non-binary entrepreneurs in the Australian music industry. It offers founders and early-stage ventures access to 10,000 worth of business management and advisory services, courtesy of White Sky and BlueRock.

The winner will receive a strategic business review, expert workshops and support services to boost their business. Applications are open here.

ONE OF ONE x MUSHROOM MUSIC GRANT

This grant will be awarded to an independent music industry professional or music creator in support of advancing their career. It comes with a $5,000 financial contribution from Mushroom Music.
