Olivia Rodrigo has dropped a film clip for her latest single, get him back! – the first music video shot entirely on the newly unveiled iPhone 15 Pro.
Apple announced the new iPhone model (alongside the standard iPhone 15) at the company’s Wonderlust event overnight. The phone’s new camera system is among its most hyped-up features – it sports an updated version of Apple’s proprietary Photonic Engine, as well as revisions to its Smart HDR system and software-based focus and depth controls. It’s said to accomplish an overall better image than last year’s iPhone 14 Pro thanks to its camera’s new tetraprismic lens design, for which Apple developed a 3D sensor‑shift optical image stabilisation and autofocus module.
Though the video for get him back! has clearly been heavily edited – we seriously doubt Rodrigo has dozens of identical lookalikes at her disposal – the picture is stunningly crisp; had we not explicitly been told it was shot on an iPhone, we’d believe it was done using state-of-the-art motion picture cameras.
Like its standard cousin, the iPhone 15 Pro goes on sale to the public next Friday (September 22) – see here for more info on it. You can also have a look at the video for get him back! (as well as a brief look at the making of it) below:
