Ninajirachi, Whitney, Ruel, Gordi & More Added To SXSW Sydney 2025

SXSW Sydney has expanded its performers and conference speakers line-up today, adding impressive local and international names to the bill.

Over 50 new performers will appear on SXSW Sydney stages this October, including Australian electronic music star Ninajirachi, American indie rockers Whitney, Irish act Picture This making their Australian debut, Canberra punks Sonic Reducer, Sydney-based experimental four-piece xiao xiao, 2charm, Drifting Clouds, and many others.

Elsewhere, this year’s week-long event has locked in new conference sessions, parties, showcases, and a partnership with Johnnie Walker Black Ruby.

Additional conference speakers appearing at this year’s SXSW Sydney include musicians Gordi, Ruel, Trials and FELIVAND, who will be offering their insights alongside Danny Rogers (Laneway Festival), Jaddan Comerford (UNIFIED), Alison Bremer (Groupspeed), Anmol Kukreja (Founder, Skillbox India), and more.

In addition to the expanded performers’ and conference speakers’ line-ups, SXSW Sydney will host parties, showcases and events.

Organisations putting on the special events include American Apparel, APRA AMCOS, Heaps Normal, Impressed Recordings, British Music Embassy, Laneway Festival x Outside Lands, NATSIMO, Rolling Stone, triple j’s PRISM, and others.

Meanwhile, extra venues will host live music and other events when SXSW Sydney rolls into town, such as The Eveleigh Hotel, Embassy Conference Centre, and outdoor stages at the Seymour Centre and Kensington St, as well as numerous pop-up stages.
