A month after the concert celebrating Mushroom’s 50th anniversary was announced, new acts join the line-up today, and the show will have a free-to-air broadcast on Channel 7.

The event is set for Sunday, 26 November, at Rod Laver Arena and will play exclusively across Australia on Channel 7 and 7plus from 7 pm AEDT.

Joining the likes of Amy Shark, Jimmy Barnes, Missy Higgins, Dan Sultan, Birds Of Tokyo, DMA’S, Kate Ceberano, The Teskey Brothers, Bliss N Eso, Gordi and Fred Loneragan of Machinations, and many more are some international heavyweights beaming in via satellite: Ed Sheeran, Garbage, alt-J and Sam Smith, the latter of whom will perform the Alphaville classic Forever Young.

In addition to the global stars, extra local artists are joining the event, including Aussie indie rockers Youth Group, BudjerahMia Wray, Goanna (with four original members), and emerging artists on the Mushroom roster, WILSNLotte Gallagher and Logan.

The amount of live acts performing on the night and paying tribute to 50 years of Mushroom’s history in Australia and beyond is now up to 34. With 12 days to go, event organisers are teasing additional artists and celebrity hosts to be revealed on the night.

Final tickets are on sale now via Ticketek, with more information available on the Mushroom 50 website.
