One year on from its inaugural affair, and the Sunshine Coast Music Awards returned for its second outing overnight (Sunday, June 7th), recognising some of Australia’s finest creatives.
Taking place at The Shed in Palmview, the evening’s event saw awards presented across 11 categories, recognising artistic achievement, industry excellence and community contribution, while also punctuated with performances from the likes of the Gubbi Gubbi Dance Troupe, Chris Cobb, Cora, The Phosphenes, 8 Ball Aitken, and Buttermello.
Leading the charge on the night was none other than Katie Noonan, who took home three trophies from as many nominations, including the Artist, Live Act, and Musician Of The Year awards.
Marshall Hamburger took home the Rising Star award, while Frank And Louis were named the Young Artist Of The Year, and Che Burns’ Devil Like You was named Song Of The Year, with Xavier Rudd handing out the honour.
