The Golden Stave – a foundation supporting children’s charities through its action in the Australian music and entertainment industries – have announced their annual Golf Day for 2024, set to go down in just a few weeks.
This year’s edition of the beloved event will take place on Friday May 31 at the Beverley Park Golf Club (about 30 minutes south of Sydney’s CBD), with the shotgun tee-off scheduled for 9:30am following registrations and a BBQ breakfast. As always, the 18-hole itinerary will follow a traditional four-ball Ambrose format, with the David Gilchrist Ambrose Challenge being a cornerstone of the event.
To be a part of the 2024 Golf Day, you’ll need to be an existing Golden Stave member and head here to reserve your place. Packages start at $225 for individual players, $900 for a team of four, and $1,500 per hole for a sponsorship deal (which includes a team of four and signage for your brand or company at a dedicated hole). All packages include green fees, balls and tees, motorised golf cart hire, a team photograph, a gift bag, the aforementioned BBQ breakfast, lunch and drinks.
The team also promise they have “some surprises in store”, which they say “will make for a day of fun and laughter so that you can enjoy and feel confident to bring your clients along”.
Last year’s Golden Stave Golf Day raised $47,000 for multiple charities (head here to see a full list of those supported) with Random Harvest winning the David Gilchrist Ambrose Challenge.
Since its formal launch in 1979, The Golden Stave has raised more than $15 million, benefitting more than 50 children’s charities across NSW. You can read all about its storied history here.
