Sydney-based music services company Good Intent has added two new venues to its booking roster, announcing partnerships with the Burdekin Hotel and Elton Chong.
The former is located on Oxford Street in Darlinghurst with a multi-level layout featuring two band rooms with capacities of 300 and 160, plus a 140-capacity space for EDM events. Meanwhile, the latter, a 100-capacity dive bar, can be found on High Street in Penrith, marking Good Intent’s first move beyond the Sydney CBD.
In a statement, Good Intent’s Venue Bookings Director Nick Moran commented that the company is “super excited” to announce the new partnerships, while the group’s Venue Bookings Coordinator, Amelia Vesperman, detailed Good Intent’s motivation for representing the music scene in Western Sydney.
“We’re super excited to step up to the newly refurbished Burdekin Hotel, as well as Elton Chong in Penrith,” Moran said.
"After being approached to book The Burdekin following our work at The Lansdowne Hotel, we were genuinely impressed by the scale, versatility and ambition of the spaces,” Moran continued. “It’s going to be a complete game-changer for the Sydney live music scene. Their team’s passion is unparalleled, and they truly understand how to run a live music venue while looking after artists.”

Amelia Vesperman added, “We’ve long discussed the importance of creating more pathways for artists and giving fans the opportunity to experience live music closer to home in Western Sydney.
“Being from Western Sydney myself, it was incredibly exciting coming across Elton Chong in late 2025, and we immediately felt their vision and ethos aligned with ours. With state-of-the-art production and a full in-house backline, we’re thrilled to help put the venue on the map as a regular stop for Australian touring artists.”
As the venue booker for the iconic Chippendale venue, The Lansdowne Hotel, the Good Intent team has overseen DJ sets from the likes of Tash Sultana, IDLES, and Fontaines D.C., and unmissable shows from Spacey Jane, Miss Kaninna, Private Function, Keli Holiday, The Preatures, Hockey Dad, Don West, aleksiah, Folk Bitch Trio, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, and many more.
Last May, the venue celebrated its 100th anniversary, and Good Intent programmed shows by the likes of Battlesnake, Cosmic Psychos, and EGOISM.
In addition to venue booking, Good Intent operates across artist management, press, marketing and label services. Also, the company runs a photography and videography studio called Good Loco, right in the heart of the Sydney suburb of Marrickville.
