2025 is set to be a massive year for post-punk six-piece Coldwave.
The Adelaide-based band has just announced their signing to Ground Control Touring for North American bookings. The boutique agency was founded in 2000 by industry heavy-weights Eric Dimenstein and Jim Romeo. Operating from offices in both Brooklyn and Los Angeles, they represent a variety of clients across international territories. Artists on their star-studded roster include rock legends Sonic Youth, alt pop band Japanese Breakfast, post-rock collective Black Country, New Road, and indie darling Waxhatchee, amongst many others.
Coldwave will be represented by Alisa Preisler who also books Shannon and the Clams and Magdalena Bay, among others. Preisler joins Coldwave's international bookings team which includes UK booking agent Matt Hanner of Runway Artists and AU/NZ agent Adam Montgomery at Lonely Lands Agency.
Named triple j Unearthed Feature Artist in 2023, Coldwave features Harry Evans on vocals, Kiran Memisoglou on guitar, Anthony Griffin on guitar and vocals, Jordan Maywald on drums, Sean McGowan on trumpet, synth, and vocals, and Lara Patzel on bass. Formed in 2020 from the ashes of two beloved Adelaide post-punk outfits, the band has evolved rapidly in just four years – welcoming new collaborators, exploring experimental instrumentation, and building a national audience. Their debut EP Same Window, Different House made waves in the Adelaide scene.
The announcement of their signing with Ground Control Touring comes hot on the wheels of their major touring news.
