BIGSOUND is upping the ante for its upcoming multi-day industry conference and music festival, today announcing its expanded dedicated Artist Hub.
Returning to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley over four days – Tuesday, 2 September to Friday, 5 September – BIGSOUND has partnered with Spotify to launch the expanded Artist Hub, which is set to focus on professional development and wellbeing of its showcasing performers.
The Artist Hub will take over BrewDog on Brunswick Street for the entirety of BIGSOUND week. It will feature essential artist services, hands-on workshops, panels, activations, and networking opportunities presented by Support Act, APRA AMCOS, Concord Music Publishing, Community Music, Select Music, and American Apparel, who will enable artists to sell their own merchandise across BIGSOUND week, and more.
In addition to the opportunities mentioned above, the Artist Hub will provide a space for performers to find some downtime, with quiet zones, refreshments, a Conversation Corner, and an artist concierge worked into the venue.
Meanwhile, Spotify Australia has increased its investment in the BIGSOUND Artist Hub and will showcase its Turn Up AUS program. Spotify’s local Music Editors, Artist and Label Partnerships Team will host events exclusively for BIGSOUND performers, including the BIGSOUND Artist Welcome Event and marquee breakfasts on Wednesday, 3 September and Thursday, 4 September.
Speaking on the Artist Hub, QMusic and BIGSOUND CEO Kris Stewart said of the event’s growth, “The Artist Hub was born from QMusic’s commitment to ensuring a thriving, diverse and connected music industry - making BIGSOUND more than simply a place to be discovered.

“We want BIGSOUND to be more than just a showcase, we want to give our artists the tools and connections they need to build long-term, sustainable careers in music – which means going above and beyond to offer artist services you won’t find at any other festival.”
Spotify’s Artist and Label Partnerships Lead, Leah Harris, added: “Turn Up Aus is all about celebrating and championing Australian artists — and BIGSOUND is the perfect place to bring that to life.
“We’re proud to support this year’s BIGSOUND Artist Hub, creating a space where artists feel welcomed, supported and inspired, while also offering workshops, events and opportunities that help them grow.
“Whether it’s sharing insights, connecting artists with their peers, or simply providing a place to recharge, we’re here to help artists make the most of their BIGSOUND experience and take their next step on the global stage.”
BIGSOUND Music Festival and Delegate Passes are now available via the BIGSOUND website.
