StarleyAustralian singer-songwriter Starley has joined Spotify’s prestigious Billions Club off the back of her 2016 debut single, Call On Me.
Following the song's release in July 2016, Australian DJ and record producer Ryan Riback unveiled a remix the following year, transforming the acoustic-led original into a soulful, electronic-fused dance number.
The Ryan Riback Remix reached the Top 10 in the UK and Australia. Meanwhile, in the US, it hit #65 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #9 on the Dance/Electronic Songs record chart. Then, the song went Platinum in the United States and United Kingdom, triple Platinum in Australia and Canada and 5x Platinum in Sweden.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Call On Me, Starley will exclusively unveil vinyl for Record Store Day (Saturday, 18 April).
Now, the collaboration has added another achievement to its legacy: being a part of the Billions Club. With Call On Me, Starley and collaborator Ryan Riback join a small yet illustrious crew of Australian artists who have reached the milestone, including Tones And I, Sia, Flume, Tame Impala, Empire Of The Sun and AC/DC.
“A billion streams is an unfathomable number in my mind,” Starley commented in a statement. “Although I’d like to take the credit for something, it’s the listeners that have immortalised this song.

“After a decade since its release, to know so many people cherish it the way they do, it’s a good feeling. All the glory to God for helping me pen it and guiding it to the hands of P.Money and then to Ryan Riback, who created the remix that shook the globe.”
At the time of its release, Starley said of the track, “One night, this song just poured out of me. It became a way of telling myself it was going to be ok; almost like an encouragement.
“It was as if I had created my own lighthouse; a beacon to help me realise my dreams are not impossible. I can do this - I'll figure it out. I just need to follow my intuition and essentially, call on myself.”
