Alex Burnett Signs Publishing Deal With ORiGiN Music Publishing

He’s one of Australia’s most successful songwriters, and now, Alex Burnett and his impressive catalogue have signed to ORiGiN Music Publishing.

Burnett first rose to fame as a member of Sydney outfit Sparkadia, having peaked at #8 on the ARIA charts with their second album, The Great Impression, in 2011. Alongside his work as a member of the band, he’s also worked with Anita Blay as half of Antony & Cleopatra, and embarked upon an impressive career as a songwriter and producer.

Throughout his musical career, Burnett has co-written or produced songs that have been streamed over 1.4 billion times, including credits alongside the likes of Hockey Dad, Digitalism, Thelma Plum, Alison Wonderland, DJ Snake, Flight Facilities, and much more.

In addition to 12 ARIA Awards, six APRA Awards, three triple j Album of the Year Awards, and three Song Of the Year Awards via both the Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition and NIMA Awards, Burnett has cemented himself as one of the most in-demand Australian musicians in the industry.

Now, his nascent publishing deal has seen him join a roster that includes Gotye, Megan Washington, Katie Noonan, Thomas Porter, and more.
