Exciting news out of the Australian Independent Labels Association (AIR), as it’s just announced the launch of its brand-new AIR Label and Distributor Member Mentoring Program.
Supported by Music Australia (through Creative Australia and Sound NSW via the NSW Government), AIR Label and Distributor Members will receive professional development and mentoring sessions through the program, with the opportunity presenting career and leadership progression pathways.
Successful applicants will receive support in digital marketing, strategic decision-making, financial literature, HR, and additional communication strategies.
Before the program begins, members will be required to complete a self-assessment and choose three areas of professional development they’d like to improve in. They will also be required to explain how upskilling in those areas could support current business challenges, help with self-growth, and meet goals.
After completing the assessment, successful applicants will be grouped into areas of interest, undertake professional development and mentoring, and access workshops with industry professionals and leaders.
AIR CEO Maria Amato said in a statement about delivering the program, “We look forward to delivering this program for our label and distributor members and to working collaboratively with industry professionals across Australia.”
AIR associate, full and distributor members will find that applications are now open and will close on Friday, 8 November 2024. Successful applications will be notified by Friday, 6 December, and the program will take place between January and June 2025.
