AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, has announced a “realignment of international business operations” that’s set to expand the company’s international portfolio. Last year, AEG teamed up with Frontier Touring to form a new partnership with Playbill Group.
A new management structure will be implemented as part of the changes rolling out at AEG.
Per a press release, Adam Wilkes will be responsible for AEG Presents’ regional operations in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe. Wilkes has been named the President and CEO of AEG Presents, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Wilkes joined the company in 2011 and has been instrumental in building its footprint in the Asia-Pacific. Taking on an expanded role, Wilkes will oversee AEG’s European regional offices and report to AEG Presents Chairman and CEO Jay Marciano.
Meanwhile, Alex Hill, who has been named president and CEO of AEG International, will assume leadership of the company’s “global real estate and venue operations” outside the US.
For his role, Hill will remain in London and oversee AEG’s European sports teams, venues and real estate portfolio, including The O2 in London. Hill will take over AEG’s venue development and operations in Asia-Pacific and international regions outside the US after leading the company’s European operations since 2019. Hill will report to AEG’s President and CEO, Dan Beckerman.

Wilkes and Hill will assume their new positions on Saturday, 1 February.
Beckerman said the company’s new management structure “aligns our international organisation with our corporate business” and allows them to better focus resources on managing existing businesses and achieving ambitious strategic growth initiatives worldwide.
“By ensuring that our talent is focused on the right opportunities, we will be well positioned to deliver growth, as well as new experiences and innovative services for our global artists, partners and fans,” Beckerman said.
“We have tremendous confidence in Adam and Alex, both of whom are seasoned strategic leaders with proven track records,” Beckerman continued. “Their understanding of our customers and markets, their deep industry experience, and their newly restructured responsibilities will position them to continue driving AEG’s international growth.”
