Joshua Seymour (‘Home Is Not A Place’ Album Launch)

Melbourne space folk singer songwriter Joshua Seymour launches his much-anticipated new album Home Is Not A Place.

Recorded in Melbourne with long-time friend and producer Nick Finch (Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, Georgia Knight), Home Is Not A Place unfolds across a rich, cinematic landscape with a collection of expansive, gorgeous and otherworldly synth-driven folk songs that explore the tension between place, memory, grief and belonging.

The record Home Is Not A Place (Lucky Buck Records) features a stellar cast of musicians, including members of Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, experimental percussionist Maria Moles, and autoharpist Georgia Knight. Together they build a sound world that is atmospheric yet deeply human – an evocative evolution for Seymour whose songwriting continues to balance intimacy with widescreen ambition.

They will celebrate the release with a Sunday afternoon matinee show at the Northcote Social Club, alongside Sienna Thornton performing songs from her incredibly sublime album Birding Out . Music lovers of all ages are welcome.
