Australia ProfileLupa J is mighty-fine artist from Sydney winning over fans with her mix of indie and electronica. What sets her apart is the use of violin (she is a classically-train violinist), and therefore it becomes more than just a ‘nice sound in the background to make the song dramatic’. Indeed, she peels apart the sounds available creating soundscapes that would otherwise be filled with arrangements of guitars, drums and vocals. And despite the title of the song being Quiet Here, the atmosphere creates a sense of increasing rush that spirals out into a Phil Spector-esque wall of sound by the end of the song, perfectly complimented by this beautiful video, below:
