I like to think there are two worthwhile styles of music clips; the ones that in some way reflect the track’s qualities or the totally unrelated concept videos that attempt to be ‘cool’. Glass Animals have taken option #1 and with excellent results as it steps beyond a pithy music video via the realm of film shorts. The clip tracks a man who has undergone a snake-like transformation by being drawn into an unknown world. However, this ‘unknown’ place is actually well-known. And that is what makes this video excel, it highlights the duality of Glass Animals' music. On one level they’re dark tropicana personified in a band but if you go deeper into their cryptic lyrics you can see how their initial presentation is not what it seems.
