Give us a short description of your music: Roots music predominantly, with a rock infusion. I've always found it hard to pigeon-hole my songs to one genre!

What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? It would definitely be releasing my debut single back in January and watching it hit #1 on triple j Unearthed roots charts. It was such an exciting time, I was so nervous leading up to it!

Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? I would say yes. But I came into the music industry with no expectations on parties, I can take it or leave it but it's nice to let your hair down after a fun gig!

What industry lessons would you like to take away from WAMFest? Anything! I'm always all ears for anyone with helpful advice or lessons that could be useful. In such a fickle industry any bit helps.

What acts are you looking forward to checking out at WAMFest? Formidable Vegetable Sound System, I saw them briefly a few months back, it was groovy and funky as hell. And Michael Triscari, he's got a swag of new tunes I'm pumped to hear!

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at WAMFest? I love watching an act giving it everything they've got, so we try to do the same. Between Scotty and myself, we're just giving it all we've got and having fun while we're at it!

When and where is your WAMFest gig? 4 Nov, Fridays Studio.
