Give us a short description of your music: STR is an improvised theatrical battle of verbal wit, freestyle rhyme, and illustration with MCs, artists and a live band.

What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? Crowdfunding $12,000 from our amazing supporters so that we could take a ten-piece band to Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2013, and playing 15 shows in 13 days.

Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? Yes, we have had much fun. Highlights would have to be Woodford Folk Festival in 2009 and 2010, with a massive crew of about 16 performers, rappers, artists and band all camping together for seven days.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from WAMFest? That Sketch The Rhyme is the premiere freestyle rap event in Australia, superior to all other freestyle rap events. 

What acts are you looking forward to checking out at WAMFest? Colab, just to watch them crumble under the pressure of Sketch The Rhyme's brilliant wordplay and artistry.

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at WAMFest? We are bringing the whole crew all the way from Sydney to go head to head with Perth's freestyle rap collective, Colab, for a once in a lifetime freestyle rap and art extravaganza!
