WAMFest Focus: Peyton

Answered by: Peyton — singer

Band: Peyton

Give us a short description of your music: Indie electronic/alternative. I aim to use a lot of my pop influences and blend them with the alternative/progressive genre.

What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? Reading fantastic, positive and insightful reviews on my music. Although it's not essential, it's good see that your music is being well-received critically.

Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? I tend to focus on my performance and delivery when I'm doing my shows and less about the partying aspect but I'm sure I'll explore that soon.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from WAMFest? I want to gain more knowledge on what audiences are seeking when coming out to watch a show and learn some insights from professional music industry reps.

What acts are you looking forward to checking out at WAMFest? I'm looking forward to checking out Lilt, Angus Dawson and Sydnee Carter. I'm also looking forward to seeing any new local talent.

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at WAMFest? I always put my best foot forward and try to smash out some decent vocals, unique melodies and beats you can groove to.

When and where is your WAMFest gig? 5 Nov, The Moon
