Band: Foxton Kings

Give us a short description of your music: We play rock'n'roll with a groove. A bottle of whisky and wah pedal are no strangers to us.

What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? Recording our EP in Melbourne was a big eye opener creatively and helped solidify a lot of our live dynamic. Our launch shows have also been very successful so far with the sponsorship assistance from Moshtix.

Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? We don't really see ourselves as much of a party band, but I find that the best band parties are at house shows. That's where things get really wild.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from WAMFest? Management and radio servicing skills are fairly important to us at the moment. Other than that we find that music industry stories are extremely fascinating and, in themselves, have significant real-life lessons.

What acts are you looking forward to checking out at WAMFest? Looking forward to seeing Flossy, as well as Bats and Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving.

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at WAMFest? There are a lot of amazing bands this year at WAMFest, that's no lie. If you're a fan of rock'n'roll, big riffs and epic drums then check it out. First round is on us.

When and where is your WAMFest gig? 4 Nov, Railway Hotel
