WAMFest Focus: El Capitan

Answered by: Kyle Pauletto — Vocalist

Band: El Capitan

Give us a short description of your music: Our tunes range from hard-hitting, punk beat-driven tracks to melodic gang-vocal ballads, with everything in between.

What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? Supporting interstate and international artists such as King Parrot, Trophy Eyes, Hand Of Mercy and Cedron from Sweden. We had a track played on triple j, and played live in the studio for RTRFM.

Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? Definitely! We have had some incredible times and had the pleasure of making great new friends, all of which came together through pre- and post-show partying antics.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from WAMFest? We are hoping to learn how better to promote ourselves and reach the industry leaders that could really help us to move forward with our career.

What acts are you looking forward to checking out at WAMFest? Well, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets have clearly the best name in the industry, so them. Otherwise we're just hoping to make it to as many shows as possible to see all that WAMFest has to offer.

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at WAMFest? I think our live show is where we really showcase what we have to offer, so I'm hoping people come and check us out and we can all have some fun!

When and where is your WAMFest gig? 4 Nov, Leederville
