"We wanted the video to show the camaraderie we have as band."
Much-loved Aussie band Youth Group today share their brand new video for track Erskineville Nights, premiering exclusively with The Music today.
The track, which is about the end of a relationship and living in Sydney's inner west, is the latest from the band's recently released album Australian Halloween - their first album in over 10 years.
"Pablo Jeffress has been making a documentary about Youth Group and our 2004 record Skeleton Jar," said frontman Toby Martin of the video.
"The live footage is taken from the ten year anniversary tour we did of that album. And that's cut up with a whole bunch of photos on film I unearthed recently when moving house. They are snaps taken by us on tour in the States and the UK from '05 to '09. Tour vans, snow, friendship. We wanted the video to show the camaraderie we have as band.
"Tours for us have always been an amazing adventure with our best friends. And as the song is about looking back fondly at a time that seemed appropriate (although unlike the song, our time is still going!)."
Youth Group are touring in celebration of Australian Halloween, with shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney throughout November.
