"Our original plans were cancelled... so a bunch of our friends and loved ones jumped in and put in the work to make it happen."
Just weeks after releasing their debut song, Aussie melodic hardcore outfit Vilify have returned with their second offering, Deadweight, which The Music is proud to premiere the music video for today!
While the first single, Habit, dealt with addiction, Deadweight "is about friendship and discovering peoples true colours".
"The other guys in the band had an unwavering trust for my creative ability and vision in regards to creating the visuals for both Habit and now Deadweight and I hope I did them proud," vocalist of the Newcastle trio, Amy McIntosh told The Music.
"Our original plans were cancelled (again.... thanks COVID), so a bunch of our friends and loved ones jumped in and put in the work to make it happen.
Deadweight will also feature on Vilify's debut EP, Clarity, set for release on 4 December.
"[Clarity] is truly a reflection of teamwork," McIntosh said.
