"My visual introduction."
Brisbane-based artist Tiana Khasi scored global praise upon the release of her debut single, Nuketown, earlier this month, and she’s followed it up with a powerful new video.
The Sampology produced, jazz-infused hit was brought to life by longtime collaborator and friend, Jake Lofven.
"The Nuketown video is my visual introduction,” Khasi told The Music.
“The progression and contrast through the colours and looks - wet to dry - soft to striking lighting, are representative of me gently setting boundaries and realising self-worth.
“We wove these ideas together with clips of traditional Siva Samoa, referencing my heritage being a grounding element throughout my evolution in life and the challenges we face."
Nuketown is the first cut from Khasi’s forthcoming EP Meghalaya, set to drop early 2019 via Soul Has No Tempo.
