'It’s Hard To Push Back The Fear': Jay Watson Steps Into The Light As GUM

PREMIERE: SUN's New Single Will Transport You To Another World

"We tried to make something a bit dreamier, that centred around this one guitar hook."

The latest single from Melbourne outfit SUN and vintage roller derby footage fit together like a hand in a glove.

The dream pop hit, Seasons, draws influences from The Beach Boys, Real Estate, Tame Impala and more, and the band’s decision to splice together footage from the ‘70s for its film clip was a solid move.

“For Seasons, we tried to make something a bit dreamier, that centred around this one guitar hook,” said SUN’s Rudie Dodd of the lo-fi psych-pop jam. “Originally we thought it sounded really jazzy, but the song slowly morphed into an upbeat jam that’s still very much a pop song.”

SUN recently wrapped a tour supporting Ocean Alley. Keep an eye on theGuide for their next run of dates.
