VIDEO PREMIERE: Paul Reid - Settle Down Boy

Melburnian country-folk troubadour Paul Reid is riding high following the release of his new EP, Nowhere Towns, earlier this month, and today unveils the video clip for his delightful, rolling new single Settle Down Boy, premiering today on theMusic.com.au.

Shot amid the picturesque surrounds of our country's inimitable bush, the video was directed, filmed and edited by Agostino Soldati, and finds our man plying his smooth vocals and finger-picked acoustic guitar while softly brushed snare drum and sweet splashes of strings — courtesy of renowned muso John Bedggood (The Wilson Pickers), who previously featured on Bernard Fanning's award-winning album Tea & Sympathy — propel the track along its amiable aural path.

Settle Down Boy, with its aural and visual railing against the encroaching digital nature of almost all aspects of our lives, is the first single to be taken from Nowhere Towns, itself the follow-up to 2014's well-received debut extended player Vines. Since that release, Reid has kept busy on the road, knocking over two east-coast Australian tours on the way to his second EP, which was released on Boundary Records earlier this month.

If you enjoy the sights and sounds above, Reid will be launching Nowhere Towns with a special show at the Workers Club, Melbourne, this coming Sunday, 19 February. See theGuide for more details.
